Held online on the 24th of September, 2020, Going Bone Deep was an eye-opening talk given by Dr Zafar Ahmad Khan on the practice of orthopaedics in the UK in contrast to that in India. Dr Zafar Khan, an orthopaedic surgeon of a myriad of accomplishments, and a practicing surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Birmingham), was able to give insight into how training, patient care, and surgical practice fared in different countries. To top it off, he educated the audience on the effect of the pandemic on the British healthcare system, and its consequences on those planning to pursue a career or medical education in the UK
