On the 24th and 25th of January, Cutting Edge, India’s first student surgical society, held its premier event of the year as an Intravenous, Intramuscular, and Subcutaneous injection workshop (a three skills-in-one workshop). This event was solely for the new juniors (batch of 2022).
The workshop started with a small introductory talk by Adish Joshi, the president of Cutting Edge. The participants were then split into groups and assigned to different stations to learn individual skills. This workshop, like any other Cutting Edge workshop, took a hands-on approach; i.e participants not only learned about the skill theoretically but were allowed to perform and master the skill as well. Once the participants had performed all 3 skills, a quiz was held on Quizizz wherein the winner got a free membership for all future Cutting Edge workshops. Congratulations to Nandini Kumar, Yamini Arora, Rani Gupta, and Dhriti Goyal for winning the free membership.
Due to an overwhelming response of 185 participants (out of a batch of 250 people), Cutting Edge had to hold the workshop over 2 days with 2 slots on each day (a total of 4 slots). A feedback form was also circulated where the participants had given the workshop an overwhelmingly positive response.
