Held in association with Indian Academy of Geriatrics (Student Chapter), Reclaiming the Matrix was a much-needed talk (held online) on the care of a large section of the patient community- the elderly. The talk was given by Dr Kiran Acharya, one of the most knowledgeable minds in the field. He elaborated on the process of aging and the debilitation associated with the wear and tear of time. He explained the management of trauma in geriatric age groups- which holds weight particularly because of how prone the age group is to injury and harm. The importance of the talk was also highlighted in the fact that a large proportion of countries are now majorly comprised of an aging population.
