Working for this committee as an ESR for two years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of medical school, and I only wish to do more brilliant things with them this year. I sincerely hope I can fill the much too large shoes of my predecessors in being the President and taking this committee to new heights. The current committee is filled with enthusiastic, dedicated and innovative individuals, and I greatly look forward to working with them to provide all of you with a bigger and better Cutting Edge experience this year around. Hi! I am Radha Jha and I am delighted to serve as the General Secretary of Cutting Edge 2018. I aspire to carry forward the torch of inspiration and knowledge left behind by the former secretaries of the club. My role as General Secretary revolves around the successful coordination and execution of Cutting Edge initiatives. With the help of other committee members as well as our college’s administrative setup, I promise to deliver the best of my services in all the upcoming events of the year; hoping to enrich the surgical skills of all our members. I shall be looking forward to your suggestions, ideas and queries. Education and Skills RepresentativeBelieving that mastering a surgical skill comes with intense passion and that there is no better moment to start learning than today, I, Meher Gujral- Education and Skills Representative, joined CuttingEdge in my first year for this very reason. I’ve always strongly felt that developing techniques such as fundamental surgical expertise and clinical examination are imperative during the MBBS course. My role as an ESR revolves around communicating information and organising workshops and lectures. My fellow ESR, Raj and I will together to serve as an approachable and accessible link between the members of the committee and faculty. This year, we hope to achieve greater heights in the field of innovation and provide a more enriched learning experience to everyone. Third Year Batch RepresentativeHi, this is Sheffali Sharma and I am the batch representative for 3rd year. I believe surgery is a trade of the hand, the most important thing that you can learn is technique. They say practice makes perfect, no better time to learn that than right from the start.The knowledge of some of the basic skills beforehand paves way for a better understanding of the field proper.
My role as a batch representative makes me the link between the committee and the students of my batch, spreading information about the workshops and lectures, ensuring that right information reaches the people at the right time and I plan to do exactly that. This year, we hope to bring more fun and exciting workshops and informative lectures and help streamline the process of making better
doctors/surgeons out of all of us. Looking forward to working with everybody and having a whole lot of fun.
