1 .What inspired you to pursue OBGYN?

I’ve always been passionate about women’s health and empowerment. During my MBBS days, my first internship posting in OBGYN was a turning point. I fell in love with the energy, purpose, and sense of fulfillment that came with it. As a first-generation doctor, I was driven by my own conviction, and I’m grateful for the path I chose.

2 .What do you love most about being an OBGYN, and what’s your biggest challenge?

What I cherish most is becoming a part of families’ journeys sharing in their joy, and completing their stories.

Obstetrics can be both exhilarating and daunting, with two lives at stake. Yet, it’s in these moments that medicine’s true essence shines – healing, caring, and supporting. Complications are inevitable, but it’s our duty to navigate them with compassion and expertise.

3 .What drew you to fertility medicine, and what do you envision for its future?

As a fertility specialist, I’m driven by the desire to help couples become parents. With changing lifestyles, environmental factors, and shifting priorities, fertility challenges are on the rise. Empowering couples to build families is incredibly fulfilling. The future of fertility medicine is evolving rapidly, with AI, genetic medicine, and innovative techniques opening new doors. I’m excited to see what’s next.

4 .What advice would you give to medical students?

Academic advice: Focus on building a strong foundation in core subjects and become passionate. Listen to your patients; it’s the key to effective healing.

Non-academic advice: Prioritize your own well-being – exercise, nutrition, and mental health matter. Take breaks, avoid burnout, and foster a supportive work environment. Treat our colleagues and staff with kindness and respect.

5 .What’s your journey been like managing social media platforms?

Starting my social media journey was a game-changer. My goal was simple: spreading awareness about women’s health and empowering families worldwide. Reaching millions globally has been a humbling experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.

6 .What’s a memorable case that has stayed with you?

One incident that stands out is from my residency days at Grant Government Medical College. A patient named their daughter after me, Mridula, following a vaginal birth I assisted with. It’s moments like these that remind me of the profound impact we have on families’ lives. I’ll cherish this memory forever.
