PresidentHello, I’m Nitya, I’ll be serving as President for the term of 2024.
At Cutting Edge, we aim to bring surgical skills and information to medical undergraduates, in an easy to digest format. From workshops to talks and escape rooms, we aspire to inspire interest in the incredible field of surgery.
Over my last two years, I’ve been thrilled to see us grow and reach new heights I couldn’t have imagined when I first joined. From searching for new skills, to brainstorming content, we’ve done it all (and tried it all too). I’ve seen people grow from excited kids to confident individuals, ready to take on any challenge. I’m so proud of my team, I could never imagine doing this without them.
I’m so grateful to have been a part of this committee, that taught me to reach for the stars. Here’s to the new planets we’ll be reaching out to this year!

I am Mariyah Haji, the Vice President for Cutting Edge the 13th. Throughout the year CE brings to you hands-on surgical workshops, wisdom from renowned surgeons, thrilling events and much more. CE has always fostered a love for learning and an attention to detail that makes every project a truly beautiful journey. Personally, being a part of CE has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college life. I cannot wait to work with our incredible team to carry on this legacy. I have only excitement for the magic that the 13th Cutting Edge will surely create.
Prakhya Gupta

Hello! I am Prakhya Gupta, the General Secretary of Cutting Edge 2024. I became a part of the Cutting Edge team one year ago and it has been such a beautiful year of growth and opportunities. It made me a learner, a teacher, a leader and so much more. I am incredibly grateful to be surrounded by a team of such talented people who always help me put forward the best version of myself.
Through our hands on workshops and talks by distinguished professors, we wish to reach that ambitious learner in you as well. From tying surgical knots to mastering suturing, we cannot wait to help you fall in love with surgery just the way we did!

Medha Chatterjee
TreasurerHii!! I’m Medha Chatterjee and I’ll be serving as Cutting Edge’s treasurer for this term. My duties include heading the finances and managing the clubs’ expenses. My last year in CE taught me so much including suturing skills, everything that goes into organising an event and design skills as well. I love how close knit the club is and can’t wait to work with these amazing people this year to take the club to new heights.

Adish Govind Joshi
Content HeadHello everyone! I am Adish Joshi, and I’ll be serving as the Content Head for the year 2024.
Being part of Cutting Edge has been an enriching experience. You get to be part of a formal student-run organization that conducts workshops, on basic, yet essential, surgical skills, talks by eminent professors and surgeons, and organizes our very own KMC Manipal academic fest – Asterion (now called Vedam). You get to run an aesthetically pleasing yet informative Instagram page which is the envy of any would-be influencer. At the same time, you are part of a community that always has each other’s back but also knows how to have fun.
This is my 4th and last year in Cutting Edge, and goddamn it has been a wild ride. The ups were worth it of course, but so were the downs. Seeing Cutting Edge adapt and overcome every single challenge thrown at it, and somehow come out stronger, has probably been one of the most satisfying moments of my time in this club. Cutting Edge has had a huge, hell, probably the biggest, impact on my college life. If you want to have the same experience, Cutting Edge is where it’s at. And as always, CE for life❤️

Hello everybody! I’m Bhavya and I’ll be l the Head of Design for this term. Having been part of this family for the past three years, I have had the absolute honour to work alongside such a wonderful and talented team that strives to bring out the best in everybody. My first year at Cutting Edge has given me some of my most memorable moments of medschool, from anchoring talks and creating content to heading events and teaching skills, Cutting Edge has given me the chance to do a bit of everything. At Cutting Edge, through our regular skill-based workshops, talks by eminent surgeons and social media posts, we dissect knowledge, suture skills and cultivate a supportive network of like-minded individuals. PR TeamHey there, I’m Barkha Boral, part of the PR team at Cutting Edge! My interest in surgery kicked off at the tender age of 10, blame it on Dr. House MD, Grey’s Anatomy and my accomplice-in-crime, my dear mom. Notable mention to my crush: Robert Sean Leonard who kept me going even when he stopped (in the show!). Since then I’ve had a fascination for the human body that’s practically surgical-grade. Other than that, OT days and afternoon naps make me feel closer to my dreams.
